Wait List Information
We always encourage students to apply for housing as soon as they find out that they are admitted to the university. Since Campus Housing goes in the order that applications are received, and we regularly receive more undergraduate applications than we have space to accommodate at one time, we need to manage the assignment of spaces.
We have begun assigning students for Fall 2012 at the beginning in June, and we do not anticipate having to turn away anyone who has yet to be assigned a room.
If you have applied for Housing, but you haven't seen your room assignment, click here to see if we've generated an electronic contract for you yet. (Assignments are made and uploaded to the page roughly every week. If the page says that your netid was not found in the system, you have not been assigned a room yet.)
Please note: this information does not apply to room changes. If you have already signed a contract to live on-campus and are waiting for a room change, please read the room change information.

FAQ
When will I get my Housing Assignment/Contract?
Assignments begin during the month of May for applications received prior to March 1. Contracts are offered after June 1.
I heard there was a shortage of housing. What about the wait list?
Housing on campus at UIC is at a premium. In the past there have been many more students who would like to live on campus than there have been available spaces.
Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. We recommend you return your application for housing as soon as possible after you are admitted to UIC to insure your first choice of room. Should we fill up, wait lists will be available for both semesters. Please contact the Housing Office for more information about the wait list.
