Meal Plans at a Glance 2012-2013

This year UIC offers all-you-care-to-eat, anytime dining. You can eat all you want at designated locations, any day, and anytime (see locations) according to the meal plan you choose. All students who live in Commons South, Commons West, Commons North, Courtyard, Polk Street Residence, Student Residence Hall or James Stukel Towers are required to choose a meal plan.

The cost of the 5-Day meal plan is standard in all non-apartment room rates.

Traditional Meal Plans Block Meal Plans Pay-Per-Meal
Required for all students who live in UIC residence halls that do not have private cooking facilities in the unit [see list above]. This option is great for students who live in UIC apartment-style residence halls (such as MRH, TBH, or SSR) or off campus. Students can pay for individual meals with cash, credit cards, or Dragon Dollar$*.

When not using the meal plan, students can pay for meals by using cash, credit cards, or Dragon Dollar$* at additional locations on campus including quick-serve restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores.

Changing Your Meal Plan

Students living in halls that require meal plans are automatically assigned a 5-Day plan. If you'd like a different plan, change your meal plan online here.
