National Residence Hall Honorary

What is NRHH?

The National Residence Hall Honorary is representative of the top 1% of student leaders in Campus Housing based on GPA and involvement. NRHH is devoted to developing leadership throughout all residential areas through service opportunities and recognition of others within the campus area.

NRHH was established by the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) in order to recognize outstanding efforts of residents across the nation.

The NRHH Values

We are founded on the two values: service and recognition.

Volunteer your time in the Chicago community! We pass out water at the Chicago Marathon, serve dinner at The Ronald McDonald House, help build homes for Habitat for Humanity, assist in WTTW Phone-A-Thons, serve soup and sandwiches to the homeless at the Franciscan Outreach Association, and hold fundraisers for organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the Dream for Kids Foundation. We offer a variety of service events each semester for residents all over campus!

NRHH recognizes student leaders through the "Of The Month" (OTM) program. Each month, residents all over campus write OTMS for deserving individuals and groups on campus in numerous categories. We hold OTM banquets complete with dinner, dessert, and gifts to recognize winners! To nominate someone for an OTM award, visit otms.nrhh.org/category_descriptions.php.

NRHH Basics

NRHH colors are blue and white

Blue symbolizes loyalty: loyalty to purpose.

White signifies a blank page: a page on which a student writes the successes and experiences that fill their days in the residence halls.

The Symbol of NRHH

The symbol for NRHH is a diamond surrounding the letters of the organization, and the three interconnected links, the chain of leadership.

Together, the unbroken chain symbolizes the never-ending leadership of NACURH and membership to NRHH.
