James Stukel Towers (JST)
The four towers of James Stukel Towers (JST), our newest residence hall, house 740 undergraduate students in 4-, 5- or 8-person suites. Each suite shares living space and bathrooms with a mix of single and double rooms. Every two floors are connected by a lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows. JST also houses a dining hall, student organization space, meeting rooms, and an event center to support the Residence Life program. Faculty and staff have apartments and offices in the building as well.
Business Leaders of Tomorrow
The 6th floor of Tower C houses the Business Leaders of Tomorrow special interest area. To submit an application to live on this floor, follow the instructions in this document.

Each residence hall includes:
- Air conditioning and heat
- Free laundry for residents
- Kitchenettes and vending machines
- Computer lab
- Lounges and common areas
- Walking distance to cafeterias and recreational facilities
Each residence hall bedroom includes:
- Extra-long twin bed, desk and chair, clothes closet and storage drawers
- Telephone jack, cable TV connection and high-speed internet connection (including wireless)—additional fees may apply
JST suites also include:
- Couch, two living room chairs, and three tables

About James Stukel Towers
The strong community development residence life model is intended to provide coordination and support for a number of academic-related programs and living areas, with each 2-floor community having a 2-story common-area lounge, and each of the Towers offering a penthouse lounge/piano room. The building also provides a full-service dining hall for residents, computer labs, meeting and seminar rooms, student organization offices, and a 150-seat auditorium for special events.
The Towers also accommodates two Faculty Members in Residence and two Residence Life professional staff as well as a Visiting Guest apartment. The convenient location on the corner of Roosevelt Road and Halsted Street is adjacent to the new UIC Forum, a facility to seat 3,000 for special programs, 1,000 for banquets, and which provides a variety of meeting and conference facilities.
