Mail & Package Clerk: Our student mail and package staff sorts both U.S. and campus mail, distributes it to mail boxes, issues package slips and forwards mail. This is a behind-the-scenes job. Starting Salary $6.66/hour
Graphics Aide: These students are involved in the design and production many of Housing's advertisements, newsletters, webpage and other publications. Knowledge of desktop publishing and design software a must. Applicable packages include Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office etc. Must be proficient in Mac and PC environment. Starting Salary $7.57/hour

  Television Tech Aide: These students' responsibilities include shooting and editing programs, organizing shoots, as well as setting up and managing equipment such as cameras, lights, and audio. Also knowledge of computer programs such as Final Cut Pro and Photoshop are desirable so students can log, capture and organize footage and create graphics for lower thirds, introductions, and credits from scratch. Qualifications include being a student at UIC and preferably live in Campus Housing.
  Communication Tech Aide: This student's responsibility is primarily to write and edit scripts and special projects. Also, duties include overseeing advertising and promotion for channel and operating 24 hour television schedule including transporting media to broadcast locations. This student also aids in set up for video shoots and editing programs. General office work can also be expected including organizing staff schedules, miscellaneous data and creating reports. Qualifications include being student at UIC and preferably live in Campus Housing
Resident Assistant: Resident Assistants are paraprofessionals committed to working with other students to build strong, vibrant communities in the residence halls. The Resident Assistant position affords students the opportunity to develop leadership and social skills, as well as assist other students in making connections with peers in their living environment. Students who become R.A.s are typically emerging leaders who have a desire to help other students realize the educational advantage of residential living. R.A.s are interviewed and selected during the spring semester for the upcoming academic year.

Peer Mentor: Peer Mentors have the exciting opportunity to help first year and transferring students transition to UIC and its residential communities. Primarily, Peer Mentors work to ensure that each first year and transfer student has the necessary information and support to successfully navigate the UIC environment. While UIC is a large urban university, beginning students living in the residence hall can depend on getting a tremendous amount of attention from Peer Mentors to make their transition a success.
