The Addams-Starr Institute is a year-long undergraduate fellowship which aims to educate and foster discussion between select undergraduate fellows on issues of social justice.
Our purpose is to develop a network of leaders who understand issues of social justice in the Chicago metropolitan area. The Addams-Starr Institute provides its fellows the opportunity to explore and understand these issues, as well as identify and create strategic actions that will improve the quality of life for our city, state, nation and world.
The concept of an everyday society that gives individuals and groups, regardless of background, fair treatment, assurance of basic liberties and human rights and an equal opportunity to access the benefits of that society.
